Professor Gustavo Galvão
Professor Gustavo Galvão is the brother of 15-time World Champion and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu legend, Professor André Galvão. Born in São Sebastião, São Paulo, Brazil, Gustavo began his martial arts journey under Professor Luiz Carlos Dagmar “Careca,” training with him for several years.
A dedicated martial artist from a young age, Gustavo also practiced Judo, starting at just 9 years old at the academy of Sensei Claudio Calasans' father. He later earned his black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under the guidance of Professors André Galvão and Fernando Tererê.
Currently a 3rd Degree Black Belt, Professor Gustavo is the Head Instructor of our school’s programs and leads the development of both recreational and professional athletes. He has coached multiple high-level competitors, including two World Champions and four European Champions.
Since relocating to Barcelona in 2010, Professor Gustavo has played a key role in the growth and evolution of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in Spain. His mission is to positively impact lives through Jiu Jitsu and continue promoting the sport throughout the country
